This jacket is great for beginner fencers learning fencing with practice swords. No additional jacket is required. We tried this jacket with school programs and in the club for kids and adults and it works really well.
Well-made
Outside is strong cotton, inside is nice padding evenly distributed through the arms, the back and front of the jacket is padded extra with light plastic inside the jacket. It is not as bulky as the coach’s jacket and allows fencers to move around freely, yet protects them from big bruises.
Parents feel good about this jacket because they feel that their kid is protected, when they see the jacket.
No more broken zippers
Jackets also take a minute to put on (unlike el. fencing equipment), so coaches will benefit. Instead of the zipper, the jacket has ties on the back, so you do not have to continuously repair zippers.
This jacket is washable. We throw usually two jackets per load (gentle cycle) and take them dry outside for a couple of days. Works great!
Comes in adults sizes. Size medium works well for kids and adults of small to medium size.
